A study tour tracing the middle reaches of the Kiso River — walking through its forests, along its banks, and through the towns that grew up beside it — following the traces of how people, goods, ideas, and culture once moved and circulated through this landscape.
By walking the very streets and riverside paths that people have traveled for generations, participants gain a richly layered understanding of the region while engaging directly with its food, culture, history, and natural environment.
